Named after the endangered Long-Billed Curlew that once roamed these hillsides, Curlew Orchard is dedicated to growing delicious fruit in balance with nature.

We are certified organic!  Six acres of the property are planted primarily Gala along with Ambrosia, Macintosh, Spartan, Honeycrisp, Salish and Granny Smith apples.  This main section of the orchard is now aging out and we are in the process of replacing old with new trees and introducing new varieties of apples as well.  An acre of the orchard is devoted to permaculture with a mix of fruit trees, berries, herbs, veg and diverse companion plants.  Four new acres of orchard have been planted with Northern Spy, Ruby Red Mac, Gravenstein, Calville de Blanc, Gravenstein and several other diverse apple varieties

On taking over the orchard we began using organic practises to grow our apples and became certified organic in 2020.  Today we are all encompassed in growing our food, practising regenerative agriculture.  We also now operate Centre Pilates Studio from the restored old packing house on the property.
